Topps released information on a Bounty Hunt program for 2014 Archives.  They have searched high and low for valuable prizes and unique items to give away.  Exclusive cards, vintage, uncut sheets, autographed items, Topps gear and other pop culture treasures will be included.  More information on how the program will work from Topps is as follows:

-“Upon the release of Archives Baseball, Topps will announce a BOUNTY on a card that is in 2014 Topps Archives baseball and the unique prize for that bounty

-The announcement will be made on Topps Facebook and Twitter

-Collectors will need to find the card, take a picture of themselves with the item and post it to Topps Facebook page

-1 collector will be randomly chosen to win the Bounty Prize of the day

– More Details on how the program will work will be announced in the future

The Bounty will go on for a FULL 60 Days in homage to the 25 year and 35 year anniversaries of the movies, Major League and The Warriors, that we are highlighting in this year’s Archives.”

This will definitely put collectors on a social media frenzy and has been compared to other card companies’ online community efforts.  Specifically Panini’s twitter account whining about other people copying promtions done before:

For what it’s worth, any way that companies can get customers more involved is a good thing–

I’m definitely looking forward to watching everything unfold when Archives is released.  Should be a great time online!
