2015 Topps Archives: Pack Preview

When the original product information came out for 2014 Archives collectors scoffed. Then it was announced that the production run was very limited, so guess what; collectors ( not all, but some) went bananas. I myself came up short at the Tristar Collectors Show in Houston.
The limited release drove up prices on top names in the autograph checklist like, Abreu, Henderson, McGwire, and don’t forget the Major League inserts, but could Topps achieve that kind of demand again without it seeming phoney? We’ll see. ( At the time of this post, 16-count blaster selling on eBay for about $760)
For 2015, each hobby box will include two autograph cards. It also announced it will be paying tribute to the late Tony Gwynn by featuring the 1983 design along with the chosen ’57, ’76 designs.
To go along with the 25th anniversary of the 1990 design though, (slams head on keyboard), Topps will feature the Presidential Chronicles subset with cut signature parallels.
