Card companies are constantly finding new ways to innovate and keep collectors interested in their products. When the first booklets came out, collector’s jaws dropped as patches had more space to shine, and the sheer thickness of the card was something exciting to feel in the pack.
In 2014-15 Panini Preferred Basketball, the inclusion of Swish Booklets take the idea of a book-card to the next level artistically. Graphic designers took the booklet card and literally turned it on its side. Basketball players are featured horizontally on the full length of the card creating something that works perfectly with the NBA players. They also feature six windows to patches and other game-used memorabilia. These are beautifully done, and have been a hit with collectors. Each box should average about $190 with three on-card autos and one memorabilia booklet.
