Not a few days after I published our review for 2013 Topps Chipz did Topps announce the details for next year’s installment. Not a whole lot of changes going on to report with the exception of a few key additions in the checklist. Most notably, Yasiel Puig will get a Chip, and other stars include: David Wright, Mike Trout and Buster Posey.
Collectors can also expect the same pack inclusions. Four MLB Chipz, one team sticker and one game board in each pack. Special Chipz range from glow-in-the-dark Chipz to relic pieces. It doesn’t appear that Topps is adding any autographs, but there are instant win Chipz as well.
I was really happy with this product, so I’m sure others were too. Last time I looked for some at my big box store they were sold out. Topps decided early on they were going to give it another shot. And why not? Low cost, fun addition that collectors of all ages can enjoy.
