2013 Topps Finest Football: Pack Preview

UPDATE: Here is the FULL Checklist for 2013 Topps Finest football

Topps has announced the latest information for the upcoming installment of Finest Football.  This hobby-only product will feature more on-card autographs with rookie refractors and atomic refractor rookie cards.

Each master box should contain a rookie autograph card, an autograph jumbo relic card, two die-cut Finest Atomic rookie refractors and two finest moments insert cards.  That of course is divided among the two smaller boxes inside each master.

For the set collectors, 50 rookies and 100 veterans will round out the base-card set, but there will be 13TFFB_9001_Base_Petersonparallels including: Refractors (1:3 packs), X-Fractors (1:6 packs), Blue Parallel (#/99), Gold (#/75), Red (#/50), Prism (#/25), SuperFractor (1/1) and 1/1 Printing Plates.

There is an overall industrial theme throughout 2013’s set, with sharp bordering, and lot of metal.  The players pop out of these cards, but for some, it may be too much shine.

Some autograph highlights include:

  • Rookie Refractor Autograph Cards- Blue, red, gold parallels, but also BCA Refractors with a jumbo patch numbered to 10, Military refractors w/ jumbo patch numbered to 10, 1/1 Black Refractor Pigskin NFL shield from rookie premier, Black refractor NFL shield and SuperFractors both numbered 1/1.
  • Autographed Jumbo Relic– Up to 50 rookie and veterans featuring an auto with jumbo jersey relic.  Some color paralleling, but with Prism Refractors numbered to 25, Black Refractor Swoosh patch, and SuperFractor Teams patches both numbered 1/1.
  • Dual, Triple and Quad autos will also be featured, each being 1/1’s.

The Finest Atomic rookie refractors will feature up to 35 players on a snazzy, die-cut card.  There is one per mini box, so building a set should be quite fun.  As an added bonus there will be a couple bonus redemptions.  Collectors should be on the lookout for redemptions for an uncut sheet of Finest base cards and a mystery rookie autograph. The names of the players featured in this redemption will be announced during the football season.

Finest is an opportunity for collectors to pick up a seemingly high-end product for a not-so high-end price tag because of the mini-box inclusions.  Each pack contains five cards with each mini-box containing six packs.  So with Finest you can still feel like you’re ripping a fun amount of product for the price point.

Be on the lookout for 2013 Finest Football towards the end of August.
