Astros win! Er, just kidding.

(houston chronicle)

Fernando Rodriguez was called back up to the Astros lineup after running out of options and having to wait out the 10-day mandatory wait period to be moved back up.  LHP pitcher Abad was sent to the DL.  Finally.

I can’t believe what’s going on.  Alyson Footer posted an amazing piece celebrating the 4-year anniversary of Craig Biggio’s 3000th hit (had to make something up to smolder this negativity). In it she recounted an open letter she transcribed from Biggio thanking the fans and team for their support.  How they knew they had to win because the fans deserved to them them do it, etc.

Those times are long gone.  I promise this won’t be a whole journal of why I’m frustrated with my favorite baseball team, but it seem appropriate to bring up the obvious; this team sucks right now.

With that being said, I’ve decided that I want to drive down to Corpus Christi this weekend and go watch the Hooks play.  The San Antonio Mission have the better record by far, but they are a San Diego Padres affiliate and I have no interest in supporting them. Instead I will drive down and check out some of the Hot Prospects that are in the future for the Astros.  And mostly because I work retail and having a weekend off is enough to celebrate.
