Vintage Vault: Baseball

With vintage baseball, collectors can look at tidbits of history as far back as the Old Judge cards from 1887.  The simplistic designs have transcended over time and inspire a lot of card sets you see today.  Knowing where inspiration has come from these ‘throwback’ designs allows you to appreciate the card sets that did them first.

Over the next few months Sports Card Magazine will revisit some of the classic sets that are so important to this hobby.  Let us know what is your favorite set in the comments below!
