The FINAL CHECKLIST is now available!

The NFL season is still plenty months away, but companies are working hard to keep football card collectors satisfied with ample releases before then.

Product information for 2013 Strata has been released and Topps is claiming it’s better than last year with strong design elements and those shadow box autos that were a huge hit in 2012.

Each box will contain:

  • 1 Autographed relic card
  • 1 Autographed card
  • 1 Relic card
  • 1 Rookie Die-Cut card

Each Case will contain:

  • 1 Strata Signature relic card
  • 3 Clear cut autographed cards
  • 3 Rookie Patch cards

The autographed relic cards will feature up to 40 players and contain the largest jersey swatch possible underneath a transparent acetate for the signature.  These will have color parallels such as: Bronze (#/150), Gold (#/99), Sapphire Patch (#/60), Emerald (#/30), Ruby (#/15).  1/1 editions will include: Quartz Gloves, Pigskin, Swoosh, and multi-colored patch.  Bronze and Gold parallels are only two that will be found in retail packs as well.

One of the neatest inserts among the autograph cards is the Rivet card.  Rivet patch and Swoosh parallels will feature a jersey patch relic and a rivet that enables the three different layers of the card to swivel or fan out.  These are all hobby only items, so card shop owners should definitely stock up on these.

The 150 base card set will feature players on 36pt stock and also have rookie parallel cards included.  Bronze numbered to 150 being the easiest and Ruby parallels being 1/1.

Topps is keeping with the mechanical, robotic theme with Strata as they have been with various past products.  Metal edges and a lot of silver bordering can be found throughout.  If something isn’t broken, don’t fix it, and it looks like Topps knows the clear cut autos are what is going to make or break this product, and so far, it looks like they were smart to add them here.

Take a look at the gallery and be on the lookout for 2013 Topps Strata around December.
