In The Game President, Dr. Brian Price, announced Wednesday that ITG acquired all assets of Sport Kings LP. This acquisition allows ITG to continue manufacturing Sport Kings labeled items going forward.
In a statement released on the ITG website, Price says, ” By making this acquisition, I will be able to continue the production of the Sports Kings brand as the consolidation of the brand into the ITG family. In the past, websites, marketing and sales were kept separately causing confusion in the marketplace. This acquisition removes that confusion”.
This announcement coincides with the news on the upcoming Sportkings Series F product that will be released in time for The National Card Collectors Show in August.
Found in Series F will be a innovative series named, Memorable Moments. They will feature 20 significant sports moments, and each moment will be broken into four different cards. When collectors collect all four they can be placed together for a sports masterpiece.
Body of Work is another insert set that will have an on-card sketch with a piece of memorabilia. Some athletes included are: Larry Bird, Kobe Bryant, Dan Marino and Derek Jeter.
All of the players included will have hard-signed autographs in the set. According to ITG, a complete checklist will be available in Mid-July.
