Ripped open a box of 2012 Panini Totally Certified Football and was pleasantly surprised with the outcome of these cards. With the football version trying to play catch up with its basketball counterpart, the latest version pretty much picks up all of the hits and some misses with its design.
The red foil makes the players pop, but for base cards the red also gives each card a little more importance. Normally, when you see a card in your pack that’s red you get excited thinking it’s an insert, so the red is a nice touch to make each base card feel important. The six packs in the box all have a ‘hit’ in them, but in this box there was a blue parallel of a base card, (Marques Colston) and a gold parallel, (Michael Vick).
